The Chiropractor's Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving upon us, it’s hard to believe that 2023 is about to be a wrap.  

It seems like the holiday season arrives all too quickly each year, often leaving us scratching our heads wondering where the first ten months of the year went.

During Thanksgiving, it’s important to reflect on the many amazing things we get to do as Chiropractors.  Let’s spend a moment together in reflection.

First, we’re blessed with an amazing gift.  The ability to use our hands to help patients find a pathway to good health.  We’re equally blessed with a knowledge base that often helps patients avoid using pharmaceuticals and surgical interventions from which to heal.

In addition, we can also give thanks for the amazing opportunity to help people change their lives.  To see someone’s mobility restored, physical appearance changed through weight loss and exercise, to observe changes in their energy levels, and watch them be able to do the things they want or need to do.  We also lay witness to patients experiencing issues such as less illness, fewer ear infections, and regaining the ability to function more effectively in their jobs, as a parent or grandparent, an athlete...the list goes on and on.

Here’s my challenge to you this season of thanks.  Make a list of all the amazing “miracles” you’ve witnessed this year in your practice.  Include your staff in this process too.  Then take a step back and give thanks for the opportunity patients give you to be able to share those milestones with them.  

Being a Chiropractor is an amazing experience and adventure.  Celebrate it.
